Search interest over time
How often people search for molybdenum on Google, US only, the last 5 years. This is public interest, not DSLD label data — a spike here doesn't necessarily line up with anything on this page, and Google's own index (100 = that term's peak popularity in the chosen window) is relative, not an absolute search-volume count.

Forms explained
Label discloses only "Molybdenum" with no salt or source form.
Elemental fraction: 39.7% (Na2MoO4 x 2H2O, dihydrate (MW 241.96; anhydrous would be 0.466) -- hydration state on labels not stated, dihydrate assumed as the common commercial form)
Turnlund's isotope study measured absorption of dietary molybdenum (88-93%) but did not compare supplement forms. No head-to-head human bioavailability or efficacy comparison of this form was located in PubMed searches.

Reference values
- RDA (adult): 45 elemental mcg — 45mcg/day for adults 19+ (both sexes), set by the Food and Nutrition Board, IOM 2001.
- Tolerable Upper Intake Level (adult): 2000 elemental mcg — 2000mcg/day (2mg) for adults 19+, total intake from food, water and supplements (NASEM DRI UL table for elements; 1700mcg for ages 14-18). The Linus Pauling Institute page reports the critical effect as adverse reproductive effects in rats, with a large uncertainty factor because the data are animal-based. EFSA/SCF (2000) set a lower EU UL of 0.6mg/day for adults.
- Studied clinical dose range: ?–? mcg
- Deliberately left null: no randomized trial of supplemental molybdenum for a health outcome in healthy adults was located. The one verifiable human dose study is a metabolic-balance study, not a benefit trial: Turnlund JR et al. 1995, Am J Clin Nutr 62(4):790-6, PMID 7572711 -- 4 young men fed 22 to 1490mcg/day dietary molybdenum for 24 days each (stable-isotope tracers); absorption 88-93% at all intakes, no adverse effects, and the authors concluded intakes of 22-1500mcg/day are safe for at least 24 days.
- Note: Labels almost always declare mcg (4,418 of ~4,600 on-market first-serving rows) with a few in mg. Sodium molybdate is the commonest disclosed source (raw_form); the many chelate/amino-acid-chelate/glycinate/Krebs-complex names are marketing variants of an unstandardized organic complex, so their elemental_fraction is null in forms. Rows that name only a chelate/salt as the ingredient are recorded as salt_weight_unresolved rather than guessed.
