NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD)

All product, brand, ingredient, and label-statement data is sourced from the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements' Dietary Supplement Label Database, published under CC0 1.0 Universal. Suggested citation: National Institutes of Health, Office of Dietary Supplements. Dietary Supplement Label Database. https://dsld.od.nih.gov/.

Verified Supplement Data

A small set of reference values (form-bioavailability drafts and clinical dose targets, for 18 ingredients) were used as a starting draft from Verified Supplement Data (licensed CC BY 4.0). Every value actually published on this site was independently re-confirmed against the cited primary literature (PubMed/PMC) before use — our citations point to those primary papers, not to this dataset. A 72-product cross-check against this dataset's real commercial doses is run as an ongoing regression test of our elemental-amount conversions.

Food Additive Index

Excipient regulatory status, derivation, and synonym data link out to Food Additive Index, a sister site covering 764 food/supplement additives. We do not copy their regulatory or toxicology data — we link to it.

Our own reference data

Compound RDA/UL/studied-dose values, form elemental fractions, and bioavailability tier ratings are our own curated work, cited to primary literature throughout. See methodology and data downloads.
