Median
The middle value of a sorted data set -- the 50th percentile. Used throughout this site instead of the average (mean) because a handful of extreme outlier doses can skew an average without affecting what a "typical" product actually looks like.
Example
The median declared magnesium dose across on-market products is 80mg elemental magnesium, well below the 420mg adult RDA.
